YAY Now it's official.

Thank you for the oh so subtle recommendations...we've already made a few offers and will let you know what happens...it will be a month or so at least though before anything else is announced...so keep your pants on. :)

I just got cast as the Leading Player in a production of Pippin. I LOVE the show; so much hidden symbolism, and things behind what the audience sees. My Dream Cast for this show:
Pippin: GAVIN CREEL
Fastrada: Bebe Neuwirth
Leading Player: Eugene Lee? (Never Gonna Dance/Fosse)
Catherine: Jessica Grove
Charlemagne: Brent Barrett

Ditto what Emcee said about Raul. There was a thread about him as leading player awhile back, but I'm too lazy to search for it. I'd love to see him play that!

Yeah, that thread's around. We were discussing the need for some pretty hefty dancing skills to do the leading player. But if this is just a concert, someone go grab Raul!

How about Christian Borle as Pippin and Sutton Foster as Catherine?
I love the idea of Bebe as Fastrada, of course...and I enjoy seeing Brent in anything, but is his voice really right for Charlemagne?
I think you mean Eugene Fleming as the Leading Player, BillyLawlor. That would work, but how about Eric Jordan Young or Bernard Dotson?? Or...change the gender and have Deidre Goodwin as the Leading Player! (Then you could have the Manson Trio dancers be male. I would of course nominate Marc Calamia and David Warren-Gibson for those slots.)
Though I wonder if the concert would even be done with Fosse-style choreography. (In my opinion, it should be!) But if it's not, I too would like to see Raul as the Leading Player...

No. Marc is great at being a baby and he could pull it off.
He is very whiny and has one of the best voices around.
I would cast him!

It IS time for a Pippin revival. Maybe this concert will give people the idea. Maybe it could be like Chicago or Wonderful Town.
