I wish there was a board/page here that listed productions of world premieres. It seems to me that new shows are the heart of broadway and it is very interesting to see shows in their early incarnations. I have managed to see a few shows and out-of-town tryouts, but it is all hit and miss.
Ok, can we list some World Premieres or broadway bound out-of-town tryouts coming up across the country?

WONDERLAND - in a week (Jan 5-Jan 16) in Tampa, FL has it's Broadway try-out. World Premiere was held there this time last year.
Little Miss Sunshine is having it's world premiere in La Jolla this winter/spring as well!
Women on the Verge is finishing its world premiere on Broadway this Sunday.

I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time to see Curtains - LA
Ella Minnow Pea - University of Michigan
Gibson Fleck - University of Michigan
It's a Wonderful Life - Dexter Michigan
The Texas Chainsaw Musical - Chicago
The Addams Family - Chicago (if it didn't play somewhere else first)
But, you would think there would be the desire for more publicity and a place to find these for people who have a desire to see new shows outside of NYC. New Yorkers don't have to work at finding new works, but in the rest of the country it is hard to find the opportunities and it is fustrating when you find out about ones too late.
Looks like Paul Gordon (Broadway's JANE EYRE) is having another world premiere - his "Jane Austen's Emma" will be playing the Old Globe (BWW just posted a video).
I think a lot of World Premieres like to go under the radar so they don't attract top critics... Look at something like "A Tale of Two Cities" that got some wonderful wonderful reviews (which lined their marquee and advertising when it arrived to B'way) from it's Sarasota run, and then didn't get good notices for it's New York debut!
WONDERLAND had an extensive internet campaign including on sites like this to attract people to Tampa to see it - They sold out 96% of the Tampa month engagement last year, as well as boosted something like $7-$10 MIL into the Tampa economy. Then you have other premieres like Frank Wildhorn's "Waiting for the Moon" which was legitimately off the radar, playing in the middle of south Jersey (at the Lenape Valley Performing Arts Center in Marlton, NJ), which played I believe 10 days staring Lauren Kennedy & Jarrod Emmick!

Wildhorn has been particularly prolific recently with 8 shows premiering since 2006. Unfortunately, so far playing on the coasts or overseas.
