Bring Back Birdie. Broadway should not do sequels! The show was somewhat good for its campiness, but the score and book were beyond the realm of awful.
PRYMATE, INTO THE LIGHT...
I enjoyed "Into the Light" very much! A very intense show.
(No that's NOT a rave, but it wasn't crap either.)
Crap = "Oh, Calcutta!" and my vote for worst ever on the Great White Way.

I've heard people complain about CATS. But it was the longest playing musical until Phantom and the song "Memories" is well regarded.
Let's not forget the Annie 2 sequel.
re: CATS.
...And when I saw it first with the OBC, it was one of the BEST shows I've ever seen on Broadway.
So, to each his own!

Annie 2 never actually made it to Broadway...it closed in Washington, DC.
Bring Back Birdie does not have a terrible score, Rocker05. Chita's songs and some others are actually quite good.
My answer would be In My Life...just horrible!

Is there any doubt? "Lestat" is the clearly the worst I've seen, followed by "Cats", and "The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public".

Brooklyn.
best12--hee! I loved CATS, too--unashamedly. As a little girl, the entire experience was magical to me. And the music was beautiful.
Annie 2 wasn't terrible, it was just hugely forgettable... except for one completely show-stopping number done by all the orphan girls.
That one number seemed like it was from another show completely... (the one they SHOULD have done)... and the rest couldn't even come close to measuring up.

What was the showstopping number, Best12bars? Coney Island?

The show was called Annie 2 or did it have a different name?
It was called "Annie 2: Miss Hannigan's Revenge"
It's been so long... I can't remember that either!
*checks for senility*
I only heard it the one time in the show, and the kids all put it over so well that it stopped the show. I don't think any of us were expecting that.
I remember them all "vamping" around the stage like femme fatales though. Guess you had to be there.
EDIT: It was called Annie Warbucks when I saw it.
"Annie Warbucks" played off broadway in NYC...it was not the same disaster that "Annie 2: Miss Hannigan's Revenge" was.

In no necessary order:
Carrie
Dracula
Cats
Bring Back Birdie
Annie Warbucks
Hot Feet
...and I won't say the last one, but you all know what I'd say. :)
