I know. They reworked it on the road, which included the name change.
It's not a completely different sequel... right?
(Tell me they didn't write TWO sequels to "Annie!")
EDIT: When it played L.A. it was a BIG show (as far as scale). Nothing that would fit in any Off-Broadway theatre I know of. They must have scaled it back quite a bit for NY.

Tell us!
One of Dorothy Loudon's songs was called "You! You! You!" and the lyric was "You you, you could be Annie too" (Annie 2...get it?) JUST AWFUL!
I think it was reworked into a completely different show by the time it got to New York.

Phantom of the Opera
How did Lloyd Webber get away with stealing from so many composers that are better than he is? And why did Hal Prince decide to stage this poorly written mess? (The money, maybe? Of course.)
Cats is rather bad too.
With the exception of Evita and the first 5 minutes of Jesus Christ Superstar, I don't care for any of Lloyd Webber's work.
annie 2 mhr never made it to new york
it was shipped to goodspeed's norma terris theatre and called annie2 then went out on the road and became annie warbucks which later moved to OFF broadway
annie warbucks was never on broadway it lost some backing on the road
the song you might be thinking of is :the other woman:

I hate Dracula, because it debuted on my birthday- August 19th. Now my day of birth will be known to all as the day Dracula premired and burned in hell.
I think the worst show to hit Broadway was "Oh, Calcutta" but my least favorite and most hated is definitely "Cats". I think it marks the point in which musical theatre as an art form started to collapse.
I have a long rant/theory on why I saw this about "Cats", if you REALLY want to hear it, PM i don't feel like going into it right now.

thevolleyballer, take that back about Carrie!
Also, I don't see how people can really think CATS was the worst show to hit Broadway. Even if it wasn't your cup of tea, even if you really hated it, you really have seen nothing if you think it's the worst thing to ever hit Broadway. I'm no CATS fan, but all I'd say is that it was/is a bit overrated. Worst? Hardly.
In My Life was the worst.
The amazing thing about seeing "Annie Warbucks" is knowing all the hell that the writers went through getting it on and watching thinking, "This is best that they came up with after all that?"
Lestat...it could have been good..but it didn't really..work.
Brooklyn...'nuff said.
Footloose, grease, and fame. Just...shut up. Thank you.
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I just don't see the appeal in this show. It's boring, the music is annoying...

Obviously none of you have seen The Red Shoes. Who told Roger Rees he could star in a Broadway musical? When it was over, it felt as if you were being released from prison.

Hah! Keaton, I'm sorry, it was just such a joke to me. I think the idea is fantastic, but it just SO was not what I imagined it should be. XD
Annie Warbucks wasn't bad. It wasn't great but neither is Annie. Just cute fun.
I like the music from Annie 2: MHR better than Annie Warbucks (I think half the score was re-written to form Annie Warbucks) Grace has a very pretty (if usual) song called "He Doesn't Know I'm Alive". Too bad it never made it anywhere.

I now want The Black Rider to open on Broadway just so there is a clear answer to this thread.
I don't know anyone who actually saw Bobbi Boland since it closed in previews, but isn't that considered one of the worst shows ever?
Taboo has to get some votes. What a turkey.
It is a tie for me:
BKLYN is my top choice followed by:
Prymate and In My Life.
AGONY.
But the worst of all was Suzanne Somers show. When she sang "If I only had a brain, I was in a state of shock. Granted, her show was so bad it was actually entertaining. I can't say that about BKLYN or PRYMATE.

West Side Story?
Haha no just kidding...how about THE FROGS? Sondheim thinks BOUNCE is bad...sheesh.
*laughs*
But I can't tell you why.
My aunt saw PRYMATE and said it was awful. I take her word for it.
Taboo was a great show before it was reworked for american audiences
