Would you rather have a leading role on a national Equity musical tour or be in the ensemble on Broadway?

I think I'd rather be in the ensemble on Broadway only because I would prefer living in NYC permanently.

^same here, but both are great attention-grabbers, granted you're understudying a lead in the Broadway scenario.

That`s hard......I guess it depends on what show it was. Name two shows (one for broadway and tour) and I`ll decide.

Ensemble...I'm not leading performer material, and I like being in the background (literally) :)
I'm way too shy to pull off something like that.

Ensemble on Brodway,even though being the lead in an equity tour could get me more known....I don't think I would like being on the road for so long. Either would be nice though

I think tour!

Think about it! A lot of famous broadway stars started out in tours! Nathan Lane, Norbert Leo Butz , and Tommy Tune!

Tour. I'd like to travel the United States and see all the different theaters and all the different theaters. Also, you'd bond more with your castmates and you'll actually make more money. On tour they get perdium on top of their weekly pay checks, so if you stay in a cheap hotel and live off your perdium, you can actually save up a lot of money. Plus, I'd really like meeting all the younger theatergoers in each town and maybe giving a class or a backstage tour a talk back with them.

Ensemble.

Some of the best talent is in the ensemble. IMO.
