Three things:

1) Fire Ben Elton.
2) Re-write the book.
3) Change out the song list for a bit different selection. Let's hear some more obscure Queen numbers that lend themselves better to a plot-driven show if forced.

I saw it in Toronto. I really liked the performances by the actors and the music, but I think that the plot kind of sucked. Would I love for it to come to Broadway? No, I wouldn't LOVE it, but I wouldn't be deathly opposed to it, either.

The Toronto prduction has been downsized since moving from the 2,000 seat Canon to the 700 seat Panasonic. I only saw the large version. Not being a huge Queen fan, I found the high energy performances by the leads envigorating... but the book is insultingly stupid and if you are a Queen fan wouldn't you rather hear the songs done by Queen? The Broadway critics would decimate it, but given the huge tourist crowds who flock to stuff like this it could be a money maker. But I wouldn't want to see it.

Maybe we need a separate "tourist" area for Vegas style shows in New York, and leave the Braodway theatres for REAL plays and musicals.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

I'd love it to go to Broadway. As long as it takes itself away from the West End to do so.

In conclusion: none of us want 'We Will Rock You'. XD

personally, i have never seen it but i love Queen, as does my sister, and im sure we'd enjoy it. Even if the book is horrible, Queen songs (4 me) can probaly save a dieing show. please don't insult me for saying that, i really do like to Queen.

I like playin with lightbulbs. Plug 15 3-bulb circuits into one extension cord, flip the switch and *POOF*. Smoke machine.
