Wouldn't Megan Mullally make a great...

Posted: 6/21/06 at 11:27pmI agree that she'd be a fantastic Adelaide...nothing is "ruined" by making her older. After all, she and Nathan have been engaged 14 years, which allows for a bit of age, I would think. Even so, makeup does wonders for making people look younger.

She's not a young woman anymore. Franca Naccarelli...no. Signora, possibly.
Adelaide can easily be played by a 50-year-old. It adds a nice touch when Adelaide is a bit older and bitter, as opposed to young and petulant.

Posted: 6/21/06 at 11:34pmif she was younger, Glinda.. I'd also love to see her as Tanya in Mamma Mia =) in her Karen voice stating "Oh Honey.. I spent their millions".I can totally see her as The Drowsy Chaperone as well as Rona Lisa Paretti in Spelling Bee.

Posted: 6/21/06 at 11:45pmAdelaide's supposed to be older, her and Nathan are the middle-aged, experienced couple. It adds to why she's so upset about being single! Sarah and Sky are the cute young things. She would make a great Adelaide, but it IS rather Karenesque.

Adelaide wouldn't HAVE to be Karen-esque. It could be.
Chaperone would almost certainly have to be Karen-esque. Chaperone . . . IS Karen!

Posted: 6/22/06 at 12:26amI think she would be great as Muriel in DRS, and for some strange reason I really want to see her as Desiree in A Little Night Music. I know its kind of strange but I just keep picturing it.

Peretti is such a boring part to me. Well, not boring, but nothing particularly special.
She has made it clear that Karen is dead. She wants to move on, and I completely respect that. I feel sorry for her, because Megan is not like Karen, and everyone just wants that. She originally had the role that Elen Degeneres eventually took in Finding Nemo. She got fired when she refused to do her Karen voice.
I wish her all the luck in the world, because she is ULTRA talented, and perfectly capable of creating an equally brilliant role.
I can't wait to see her in something else, so she can prove her talents!
By the way, have you HEARD her Johanna? Bitch belts.
