okay, my mistake on the composer. However, the two guys from ABBA are in on it. They must be producers or something. Their name is all over it. When the auditions went up on the equity board for the pre-broadway workshop, it was referred to as "In My Life", Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson's new pop musical, based on the story of Swedish immigrants blah, blah, blah, blah........

That has to have an effect on the artistic vision of this thing.

Sorry for the mis-information, though.

its not about on Swedish immigrants, either. it's about a musician with tourrettes and a village voice reporter with OCD and how they fall in love.

OOOOOOPPPPPPSSSS.. ..... I just realized what I did. I'm thinking of another show called "Kristina", that's also slotted for Broadway next year. That's the one by the ABBA guys. I feel stupid. Sorry about that. In my life auditioned just before that one. My mistake. Kindly disregard my babbling.

i wouldn't say it was poor music as much as poor music CHOICES for a sampler designed to lure people to the show. all four songs were slow and similar, it was like a lullaby. a pretty lullaby, but a lullaby nonetheless.

i hate to be really critical here...but good grief..none of you seem to have reference to very much musical theatre..and by the way..cast recordings are ultimately what preserves the show...the sampler is like a dress rehearsal...so when you critique...what dont you like..half of you never say...the tempo, the singing, why...you just go on and on about really shallow and mind numbing stuff..come on think.

apparently you had nothing useful to say except to correct my grammar. as far as my grammar goes, you can hold that opinion to yourself. it is neither relevant to the conversation nor is it useful. if someone wants you to critque their grammar they will ask you..until then....zip it.

I've got a bad feeling about this one. It's hard to judge the songs based on the this recording...but the lyrics? Pretty dreadful. Very trite, very repetitive. I could complete most of the lines just by hearing the first half. And these were the four best songs they could pick?

But hey does anyone know where I can get the sampler music like by way of downloading them or mp3s, etc.?????? I want to hear this musical and judge it for myself, it can't be that bad.
