Apparantly, James Carpinello broke his foot.
He will be out for around 4 months, according to someone over on All That Chat.

Poor James. First he was cast in "Saturday Night Fever" but he couldn't dance, and now he is cast in "Xanadu" and he can't skate.
What did Christina Applegate break again? Foot or ankle? I can't remember. Think it was foot also. And she jumped back in the show REALLY quick.
oh no.
Where's Matthew Morrison?
Didn't Applegate just sprain something really badly?
Plus, she didn't skate through Charity. She wore boots.

She broke it. And was a trooper.
The show's not going to last long enough for him to make a return.
Will they re-cast the role or just promote his understudy full time?
wow that sucks. i hope the show lasts that long but they need a replacement fast.

I hope they just promote Peter Samuel because I love seeing Curtis and Andre in the ensemble for this show. They just make it worth watching.

On what is probably a really terrible night for this actor, posting things like "he couldn't dance in SNF and can't skate in this" probably aren't the most productive things to do.

OPENING NIGHT IS MY BDAY
I love drama like this.
This is gonna be a good Drama whatever happens.
I predict an understudy goes on this week than they announce a semi-name to take over.
Let's pray it's not Raul.

What's Sean Palmer up to these days?
Peter Samuel is a swing, so my guess is he'll go on if any of the three to prevent having to pull someone from the ensemble until a full time replacement is found.
