I REALLY(!) hope so! One of the best afternoons I have ever had in the theatre. I saw it when Whoopi was in it. Also had 2nd understudy for Clio (Kenita Miller) and she was just fabulous.
I saw this on Bootleg and hated it and then watched it again and enjoyed it. Its insane, very funny with a witty script and a great score. The Cast Recording however is rubbish, it fails to catch the energy of the show
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
Its a great show that I thought id hate and ended up loving! However the OBC were brilliant and id rather not have it over here if they just stunt cast it to sell tickets.
Cheyenne Jackson was so perfect as Sonny and I just dont think we have anyone like him over here.
Be good if it did come over, also if Passing Strange came over too, seems to be a shortage of musicals in the second half of this season, with only Illegally Blonde the only one.
Also be good if they brought Young Frankensten over, heel there is such a shortage opening I would even welcome the Color Purple?
The musical offerings this autumn are pretty BAD as far as the West End Goes. Atleast we also have revivals of Sweet Charity and Annie Get Your Gun off-West-End.
Gypsy and Xanadu are still listed for 2010 on David Ian's Website. Fingers crossed!
