Well I think that Monk'll say it was terrible and he needs another drink.
SondheimGeek: Is it slightly pathetic that you guys get to be Jedi bitches, and I'm Bitchy the Hutt?

I think going into this show you have to know it's going to be HIGH camp and not HIGH art. You can't compare it to Lovemusik or something like that.

Why on EARTH would I compare XANADU to LOVEMUSIK?

Why would anyone consider Lovemusik high art?

I didn't say you would, I'm just saying people tend to get pissed at campy shows because there's not much to the plot, etc. And that should be known going into the show. It won't take a genius to figure a show like this out.

It's not about plot, here.
It's about concept and execution.

God forbid you have fun at a show, right?
I thought the show was hysterical. It was quick and silly and just an overall good time. I love fun, goofy shows. Not that I have any hardships in my life, but it's nice to leave real life behind sometimes.

Well, I'm glad he got away with it.

Why don't you wait until someone gives an opinion before you already act like you know what we're going to say?

I was in no way justifying the show. I haven't seen it nor do I plan on it. But I do like Curtis.

What reviews are you talking about?
There hasn't been one yet!
Why don't you just let Munk write the flipping review first!

Kerry Butler was actually pretty good...I was expecting her to be horrible. Mary Testa and Jackie Hoffmann were great too. Tony Roberts was not very good, unfortunately. The entire show is tongue-in-cheek and very campy. I think it would be better suited off-broadway. I just can't see people paying $111.25 to see this. A bit better than I expected though, to be honest.

Tonight's show was sold out and they didn't have rush for it.
They do have a rush program ($26.25) if seats are available. 2 per ID.
