#1Xanadu Tickets?
Posted: 8/3/07 at 7:23pmI can't pull up Xanadu tickets on ticket master. Although that is besides my point. I was wondering if someone could inform me on how to obtain stage seating? or inform me on their rush policies and what not. I'm going into the city on the 9th, and I'm interested in seeing the show, but know nothing whatsoever on its tickets. I'd be more into the idea of rushing or doing stage seating (Always something I'd like to be able to try out, regardless of the show). Basically anything not full price, nor broadwaybox discount codes. Any information to help me would be appreciated! Thanks in advanced. I'll be keeping up with this thread =]

You can get on-stage seating for $41 on TeleCharge.com
Xanadu does not have any kind of rush at this time.

Stage seating is available to book on telecharge.com, it appears on the drop-down menu of seating options. They are starting to sell now as more people have discovered they are bookable in advance, so buy soon.
I don't think there is rush anymore, is there?

Posted: 8/3/07 at 7:52pmThanks for the info guys. It helped largely =] The tickets are coming up as 'General Admission'...is the stage actual a general admittance area, with a ticket? Or do you in the end have a seat number? This is now my new baffling mysterey. Help please =]

Posted: 8/3/07 at 7:54pmYou won't get an assigned seat (though the seats onstage actually are numbered). You'll be sat by an usher based on first come, first serve.

Posted: 8/3/07 at 8:30pmOdd question but for the on-stage seating, are there stairs to get up to the stage? And if so, is there a railing?

All of the stage seats are numbered as "seat #1"
There are 3 steps, I believe, with the top one being a bit steep. No railing

Posted: 8/3/07 at 9:15pmI'm probably not going to do this because I'm not sure how much will be missed. If I were to do onstage seating, how much of the show would I miss? I'm so stuck on whether or not I'd be pleased with the onstage seating. The experience overall would be thrilling, but I just can't see myself enjoying the show as much missing facial expressions and such. But then I would be made at myself if I were in the orchestra and i'd be jealous of the people on stage.

Posted: 8/3/07 at 9:19pmGet there early and ask to be on one of the sides. You don't miss that much on the sides. Really.

Posted: 8/3/07 at 10:57pmI did stage seating last week. I was in the front row in the center section. It was SO much fun. They have speakers by the seats (unlike at Spring Awakening, from what I could tell) so you can hear everything clearly. There were maybe 2 scenes where I felt that I may have missed something (the mirror during the opening scene and a small portion of one of the songs), neither of which bothered me. I'm going back again and doing stage seating again. For the little that you miss, the excitement of being that close to the actors makes up for it. Many of the actors make comments to you during the show plus you get to get involved at the end, both of which you'd miss out on from sitting in the audience. Plus, the tickets are about 1/3 of the cost of the other tickets. You really can't go wrong :)

Little bit of a threadjack, but thanks for that, guymy13. I'm seriously considering doing the onstage seats, specifically because they're half the price of even the discounted tickets on broadwaybox. I definetely think this show would be a blast to sit on stage for. It at least makes sense for a fun show, because with Spring Awakening, those poor people who cry have the entire audience to do it in front of!
How early did you have to get there to get the front row in the center section, guymy13?
