So if you arrive at 6 what do you do until showtime? Do you alert someone you have on-stage seating so that is why you are there early. When do you actually begin to sit on-stage?
This is my first time seeing it and probably only time I will be able to see it. I really want to do on-stage seating. Will it be bad for my first time? I heard many people love the experience!
Tell me more about these popcorn seats.

As I think we've gone over in a different thread, I think onstage is a blast...although an online friend is telling I should do front row of the mezzanine once.
Every time I've gone I've gotten to the theatre about 7, but the further up you are in the onstage ticket line (or in the door), the better your chances of getting the seats you want. I prefer the sides, but the "popcorn seats" place you next to Mary Testa and Jackie Hoffman for one scene.
A cool side effect of the whole onstage process and getting there earlier is you get to hang with fellow fans and maybe even make a new friend..or two...or three. I know I have.

There's only one ticket line ~ unless it's changed since October when I saw it last. 6 may be way too early now. I usually have a book with me and read that if I'm by myself. Or if I'm with a friend or two we'll rotate going and getting something to drink etc.
When they scan your ticket, they will send you over to the far door and say to tell the usher you're onstage and they'll take it from there.

Oh so like on-stage tickets aren't scanned until like when the others enter normal seating too? I thought you had to be going in first or something I am confused sorry lol.

oh, they're scanned...you're just literally told where to go, which is the far right door and stage right aisle, where you gather with your fellow on-stagers and wait for instructions from the usher.
Yeah. They're scanned. I just like getting there early ~ I'm weird that way. :P

Besides the popcorn seats, are there any other special seats? I am going with two other people and it will be our first time seeing it. What seats should we request do you think? Does everyone get glow sticks? Thanks. I'm excited. This sounds like fun.

There are a few seats left deliberately empty so cast members can park their butts there from time to time, if that defines special.
Actually, any seat onstage is kind of special. Just think, you're on a Broadway stage!

I sat on stage Saturday and loved every minute of it. I definitely want to go again. I was one of the first people to the theatre but others pushed in front of us and I lost out on the popcorn seats. I opted for side seats and Curtis made his entrance right behind us.
I got there a little after six and just hung out with my friend. Since we were just sitting there we were lucky enough to see Michael Rosenbaum of Smallville walk by not once but twice. My friend said he came back by again because he thought I was hot *w*

Thanks! Was that on the right side of the stage or the left side?
Stage right between the orchestra and the wall.
So how early would you recommend getting there then if you want these popcorn seats? And if I was the first person there, when/who would it be appropriate to 'ask' to have them?
I'm assuming the usher in charge of the onstage line?
Thanks!
When they take you onstage to seat you, you can request them then. As has been said, if you are by yourself, they might not do it, or they might with the caveat that if they need to seat 2 people there you will be asked to move, because it is only 2 seats there.
Ok, DUMB question: 6AM or 6PM. Sorry, that may be common sense, but I just wanted to clarify.

PM...if it were AM, I'd tell you to bring LOTS of books and maybe a portable DVD player with a really good battery.

Thanks!! (And there will be someone with me so I won't have to worry about being relocated).

OK. Sorry for asking so many questions. But I just want to make sure I do this right. =) I've never seen Xanadu before (I may have already said this), so do you think stage left or right makes a difference? I want to sit where I can see the most action onstage. Thanks again!

I got to sit on stage last Saturday and I was one over from Mary. But I did get popcorn. I loved the onstage seats. It gave such a different perspective and it was SO much fun! Great, great show. I just love it!

I've never seen the show before. Would it be better for me to see the show from on stage or in the aduience? sorry if this question has been asked before.
I saw the show for the first time from onstage. If you're on the side you're not missing much but because you don't really get assigned seats, you could end up behind all the action.
I would say if possible see the show from the audience first.
