Hi, so I am in desperate need for some theater therapy (ie I'mnot feeling great and want to see a show). Does anyone know of something good (preferably a bit light and fluffy but I don't really mind as long as it's not like DARKNESS) that is 90 mins or less for a Sunday mantinee?

The 90 minute requirement sort of eliminates most shows. A Doll's House Part 2 is funny, and Laurie Metcalf is great in it, and it is under 90 minutes, though.

It's not exactly fluff but A Doll's House, Part 2 is very funny and well worth seeing. It's listed as 90 minutes but I think it's about 80 or 85.

I'm thinking of seeing that this weekend too! It looks like a lot of seats are still available - does that mean rush is relatively easy, does anyone know?

If you're there when the box office opens, you will get a rush ticket. I went around noon on Saturday and got a rush ticket for the evening show. But at that point, there were none left for the matinee.

"The Play That Goes Wrong" is funny and is shorter than most musicals.

Come From Away is 100 minutes, which is a little longer than you asked for but a terrific show!

I'd say either Come From Away or A Doll's House, Part 2. The former is quite moving at parts, but very fun and ultimately uplifting; the latter is not exactly fluffy, but it's not heavy either and has some big laugh moments. Both are roughly 90 minutes, no intermission.

A Doll's House, Part 2 is funny, thoughtful, well-written and well-acted! The best part: rush is painless and the seat is great! I rushed on the Sunday before Tony nom. Got there at 11:30 and was the 3rd in line. Rush seats are at the first two front rows, and I would say those are actually the best seats for this play, so I had not idea why they reserved it for rush tickets (but I'm not complaining!)
