I would love if they brought it back but i highly doubt that they will anytime soon since it was on bway not too long ago and wasn't that successfull. We can hope though.

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Munkustrap - yes! Thank you! I always hear people criticize Lucy's voice. "It's so obnoxious and annoying." Well, duh! That's the point.

Her voice isn't the bad part, it's so perfect for the character- It's more the intonation and how she ruins every chord by singing out of tune.

I just saw this show for the first time (a high school production). I thought it was so much fun!!! Loved it! I would love to play Lucy. The show is very cute but it really is directed more towards younger people. But it's very funny.

I have the CD to YAGMCB and i love it so much. I remember seeing Kristin perform "My New Philosophy" and the cast also do "Happiness" at the Tony's a while back when it was up for best revival. I really love the cast especially Anthony Rapp, Kristin and Roger Bart. I wish i had gone to seen it and i think its more popular now, then it was when it was on b'way.

I agree, Kristin in My New Philosophy was phenomenal! It's a great show and I know Lucy is supposed to sound kind of annoying but I think they just took it overboard a little.

Gotta love YAGMCB! My school is also doing a production of it. Unfortunately only the theatre students could audition (I'm a visual art major at my school and take acting outside of school) which sucked. I can't wait to go see it though since I have a few friends in it and I think they'll do a fabulous job with the show.

hey! congrats on the part man! i sold my soul to YAGMCB last september and im still playing Sally. But im loving it! im so excited for you! the show didnt do well on bway because the cost for maintaining the set was soo expensive! for example during "my blanket and me" the blanket actually danced. for me the best thing when studying lines is to just read the play over and over agian and not focus on my own lines. that way, you know the show by heart. you know what line is in what scene and its so much easier to remember cues. remember its an ensemble show! dont do your own performance, take and give the moments. also, the show isnt just for little kids. its a show for adults too. the message is in "Happiness." there is so much going on in life right now to get wrapped up on...but if you just take the little moments..a butterfly on a flower...a working pencil sharpener...it can make your day if you let it. there is so much behind that song. when performing it..make the audience believe you. there is a little bit of every character in all of us. there is a lesson to be learned form each. also, dont forget to play the innocence in your character...they use big words, but theyre still little kids. hes a lovable guy, but he can also get aggravated like any other person. you see that in the comics when he yells people off the strip. :) also during the baseball scene when hes getting inturrupted repeatedly...hes ticked and trying to hold it in. keep it simple and sweet. especially in singing.... not "believe what youre told" but "bee-leeve what yuu-re told." get it? theyre kids. try to observe and little kids you know..particularly six year olds. :) listen to the recording.. youll hear it. :) and most importantly.. HAVE FUN!!!!! :) im so excited for you. :) break a leg! check out snoopy.com

I'll tell ya one thing its a REALLY fun part to play! I was in YAGMCB in my camp in 2003 (i was 11) and I played Schroeder. There was only 1 boy, who played Linus so the rest of us girls got the guy parts. My best friend Carly played Charlie Brown and had a blast!

I LOVE SHOSHANA BEAN.

I love how each major part has their own song. That's why its a great show for high schools b/c everyone who is one of the group of major roles basically has their own song. I've been DYING to be in a production of it...I love all of the male rolls!

Yeah I love how each character has their own song! There isnt really ONE leading character that rises above the others, they all have pretty equal parts which is awsome.

Yeah thats the one thing I dont like about some shows. They focus on 2 or 3 characters and give them the great solos and dialogue and action and leave the other characters (who are just as important) in the dust with feeble mediocre lines and singing parts. I was so glad to see that this wasnt the case at all for YAGMCB. Each character wasnt trying to upstage the other and they all had great parts that worked well together but also showed off their talents.

What a fun show to perform in. I played Schroeder for it. I think my favorite part still has to be The Book Report.
