"Interesting that Marsh (Skaggs) Waterbury played Audrey in the first tour, she succeeded Ellen Greene in the tour of THEY'RE PLAYING OUR SONG, hmmm type casting?"
Not so much succeeded as replaced because Greene was fired.
Great performer, but apparantly she crazy :-/

Why was she fired?

Seeing that around the time the recent Broadway revival of Little Shop of Horrors was running, the revival of Gyspy with Bernadette Peters was running and Gyspy is coming back this season. I don't think it's to early to bring it back. In all honesty, I think that a revival that should be done is for The Who's Tommy, but that's me.
I really loved the revival. I went 6 times and loved it each time. The last time I saw it was the last matinee on the last day and I didn't care for Joey Fatone as Seymour. I actually thought when it first opened that the revival was going to be the big thing that season since so many people have seen the original production or the movie and loved it, but of course I was wrong.

I say Anthony Rapp should play Seymore if they bring it back.

Didn't Rapp do it on tour?
I saw the recent production and it was... dull. it totally lacked soul and heart.
I agree with a lot of the posters here, it should be done in a small theatre... on a small scale.

"Why was she fired?"
Donno. Just have heard she can be crazy and that she was fired from They're Playing Our Song.

" Ellen Greene is love, people."
Me in 2005 with her
Not in love with the outfit but I really didn't care. I was so starstruck. (And ironically, I has just watched the movie of it like a week before and this was a surprise so it was a fun time)

It is a great show. It should be running at all times, somewhere!

It should be revived off-Broadway and given a proper revival. That thing that was on Broadway was horrible. If they go back and do the show like it's supposed to be done, a 1960s low budget horror film, then it would be great to see it again.

The Broadway show missed the mark on just about every single aspect. It's a show that belongs off Broadway with a far more interesting cast. No revival of this is going to happen anytime soon, if ever.

What if they do it in a crappy theatre like the Nederlander.

It really has to be in a small, intimate theater. At the end when Audrey 2 moves toward the audience, every member of the audience should feel like it's coming for them. That feeling is lost in a huge theater.

Isn't Circle In The Sqare a small theatre?

Dear god, it's not going to get a Broadway revival. All of the Broadway theaters are too big.

I heard Circlle In The Square is tiny.

Not tiny enough. And it's a thrust set-up which would just be ridiculous. Little Shop just doesn't belong on Broadway.

Ok, then it should go back on off-broadway!
