I saw the show on Friday in Chicago.
I agree about Roger. He just looked bored the whole entire show.
I went to the stage door after the show and he came out with another girl and they left together.. She waited for him to sign a few. They seemed like they were dating.

Thank you. I love me some Roger Bart but he doesn't really hide that he wants to be doing something else, but this pays the bills.
In the end little ditty they do where they tell everyone to get the hell out the show is over, blah blah, the line where they sing "Maybe next year Blazing Saddles" he mocked shooting himself in the head. That pretty much summed up how he felt in my opinion!

I think he is a nice guy though, I saw him on his way to Young Frankenstein the day after we had seen it on Broadway and he didn't come out of the stage door, but my friend and I politely stopped him and told him that we really enjoyed the show and asked for a picture, he was walking with this blonde woman discussing some aspect of the show, I knew she looked familiar, but we asked her to take our picture with Roger, little did I know that I asked Susan Stroman to take the picture of us! I think the "bored" look comes from his character. I think he feels that Dr. Frankenstein has a very dry sense of humor and maybe the dryness comes off as boredom, but I loved him in the role!

What BroadwayBound said. He is a professional and is very happy to have such a wonderful job and would never be seen on stage acting like he is bored and does it just to pay the bills. He has a true vocation and would never go that road.
Most artists are thrilled to be working, and I think he´s one of them and he should be excited to be headlining such a wonderful tour.
PS: Who cares about Sutton Foster´s dating life? I know I don´t.

Sutton and Roger were a couple for about 2 minutes. She made it public to try to humiliate her husband. Roger dated a friend of mine for over a year until she broke up with him before the tour started. DOn't know who the sad girl is he's dating now. But I can tell you it's temporary!

I think it's cause he hates his life :)

I saw the tour last week and I think it could be headed for disaster. Six weeks in Chicago could have been biting off more than they could chew. And the pan in the Tribune certainly won't help boost the sales needed for the next four non-subscription weeks of its run.
