Who's Charlotte? If you mean Carlotta, then I would love her in that part.....granted she would have to be trained in Opera but she is Catherine Zeta freakin' Jones. She can do anything her fine self wants to do.

as for her vocals, well they were great in Chicago, and we have no idea what she can potentially do, so with some lessons she could do it

Here is a good Christine and someone who has reminded me of Emmy Rossum......Anne Hathaway, who can sing too, and I remember her telling Ellen that one time she was the #1 rated Soprano in New Jersey, so that could happen too......

The role of Carlotta Giudicelli requires the actress to be operatically trained. As much as I would love to see Catherine Zeta-Jones act the part, I highly doubt she would be able to do it, even with "some lessons", as MTVMANN suggested. I don't know if you've noticed, but Carlotta sings some very high stuff.

She does sing high, but I have no idea what she can or can not sing, so I didn't want to count her out, but as Minnie Driver told someone(I think it was Lisa Ling) "It's hard to approximate that type of sound"......

Raoul- Tim Martin Gleason or Michael Shawn Lewis though I did always want to see Ewan McGregor cast as Raoul in the film and I also liked Patrick Wilson

Christine - I'll go with Charlotte Church. I think Sarah is past her prime. I recently heard her do a duet (Pie Jesu) with Charlotte Church and thought Charlotte CRUSHED her.

Christine: [I am SO tempted to write Chenoweth. I'd like to see her use her operatic voice more often. Hmmmm.] I liked Julie Hanson a lot, though.

Raoul: Josh Groban. Give the guy a shot. He fits the 'blandly handsome, sings well' part well enough. Most Raouls don't act it anyway (except for Cudia.)

Jim Weitzer totally acted it for Raoul! plus Raoul has to be wide eyed and innocent. I think Cudia's a bit mature with him but hey, i only saw Cudia's performance once and saw Weitzer 3 times. LOL
