Who in your opinion who was were favorite AIDAS ???
My Choices
1.) Heather Headley
2.) Deborah Cox
3.) Paulette Ivory
4.) Saycon Sengbloh ( There is NO DOUBT in my mind that if the
show was still open her name would have
been on that marquee sooner or later.)
My absolute favorite was
DEBORAH COX
hands down...
RENThead, enLIGHist, Ozalot, Grobanite, Ringer, Pickwick LW, Wicked, Lost, American Dreams, West Wing
Lea S. Hugh J. Adam P. Idina M. Matt M. Taye D.

Heather and Deborah. Saycons voice has that squeaking thing in her voice and it bothers me!

I second Leontyne Price.
But if we're talking about the atrocious musical that clogged up the Palace for four and a half year, I would have to say Heather. She is the only Aida I saw, so she wins by default.

Maya Days......She was stunning and had the guts to make the role her own after replacing a tony winner. Then Saycon who I always thought sounded like Maya..I guess I like the pretty girls with the light disney princess sound..

Simone-- her voice was so beautiful and outshone Heather Headley vocally.
That I saw... overall, Saycon. Vocally, Deborah.
heather. her voice is incredible, but her acting was amazing. she had so much passion and heat - plus, she worked so well with adam.
^ and by Heather Headly singing on Monday at Carnegie, I meant a week from monday!
thought I would fix that
She is? Where have I been?
emcee- get with it. you've been petting raul for about three weeks, dear.

2)Simone
3)Maya
i absolutely adore heather though. i wisht thati could've seen her perform the role live. i think that her voice is AMAZING. She brings out the weak side, and the strong side of AIDA (through the cd). i bet she was absolutely astonishing live.
