I did indeed mean to include the Journey On section.
It's interesting, Lot's Wife wouldn't qualify as an extended musical sequence according to The Day Off definition. I love love love Caroline and Lot's Wife is certainly (to me) the apotheosis of the score, character and themes. But it's not really an extended musical sequence (of course neither are some of my other selections).
To that end, I would add Bride's Lament sequence, The Drowsy Chaperone War is a Science -> Glory The "war sequence", Pippin The Trial Sequence, Parade
I'll agree with "Chrysanthemum Tea", but would also add the wonderful "Broadway Melody Ballet" from Singin' In The Rain and "More" from GHOST which, whilst short on the cast recording, is quite long in the show.
@DeenaJones Exactly! There are so many songs in GHOST when she's sad about him dying to chose from! I think I was talking about "Rain/Hold On" or "Suspend My Disbelief/I Had A Life," neither of which are great songs, I just think Caissie and Richard sound stunning and they're both exceedingly long, one is over 6 minutes, the other over 9.

Soliloquy - Carousel Someone in a Tree - Pacific Overtures The Day Off - SITPWG La Vie Boheme/I Should Tell You - RENT (Collectively about 10 minutes long) The Opening of Grand Hotel The entire Montage of ACL. Seriously, not just cuz I played the role, but Gimme the Ball always pumps me up. I Love it!

Prologue to Into the Woods Meadowlark The opening to Sunday in the Park With George (I think it's called Sunday in the Park With George) Soliloquy Ragtime opening/Prologue Don't know if this counts, but they start as 2 solos that continue into point/counterpoint: Come to My Garden/Lift Me Up Wilkommen
