Your favorite Belle and Beast from BATB?

Which actors are your favorite Belle and Beast? They don't have to have played the part at the same time. I was browsing youtube and theres a lot of bway videos. Idk who my favorites are anymore!!

i'd have to say susan egan and terrence mann, since they were the only ones I saw.

I saw Sarah Uriarte Berry and she was quite good!
The only beast I've seen was Steve Blanchard... I was not impressed....

From what I've heard/seen Anneliese Van Der Pol has quite an impressive voice!

Annalise Van Der Pol or Sarah Litszenger for Belle

Yeah Steve tried making the Beast a comedic character... not good.

Broadway Shows I've Seen: Hairspray, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors (2003), The Wedding Singer, Spamalot, Riverdance, Rent, Beauty and the Beast, Spring Awakening, Wicked, Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, Sweet Charity (revival), Drowsy Chaperone, The Lion King, Dreamgirls(2010 Tour).

I saw BATB every performance it's final weekend and the previous summer. All of those times I thought Steve was great contrary to what has been said on here. I'm sure at some points in his run he probably wasn't as good. Buy my faves are Steve Blanchard and even though I didn't get to see her "live", Ashley Brown.

I actually really liked Steve. I saw him twice (once with Ashley Brown and once with Anneliese van der Pol). The first time he was decent, not excellent. The second time he was spectacular. He didn't phone it in at all. As for my favorite Belle, I saw Susan Egan, Ashley, and Anneliese. I loved all 3 equally.

Ashley Brown (although I have never seen her as Belle, only Mary, I have heard her in BaTB and she sounded amazing!)
Steve Blanchard (I saw him twice with Christy Carlson Romano and Anneliese Van Der Pol.)

Steve Blanchard was the only Beast i have seen. I thought he was fine.
Ashley Brown (didn't see her but have heard her) and Anneliese van der Pol for Belle (which I just got cast as! so excited!)

My two favorite Belles are Ann Sanders and Ashley Brown.

My favorite Beast was Jeff McCarthy.

Never saw a beast I loved. The best Belles were understudies in my opinion: Michelle Mallardi, Ann Sanders. As far as women who actually had the role, Sarah Litzsinger and Andrea McArdle were my fav. Van der Pol played her like a bitch. Belle isn't a bitch!!!

I've only seen Brooke Tansley, Anneliese van der Pol, and Deborah Lew. Unfortunately, I don't remember much about Lew's performance (I had to look up her name), so between Brook and Anneliese, I liked Anneliese best. But I would've liked to see Ashley Brown.

Ann Sanders actually had about a six month stint as the regular Belle, in between Sarah Litzsinger and Jamie Lynn Sigler.

I saw a whole bunch of Belles (Susan Egan, Kerry Butler, Andrea McArdle, Sarah Litzsinger, Michelle Millardi). All had their good qualities, but Sarah Litzsinger blew me away! I also really liked Chuck Wagner as The Beast.

I've seen Michelle Mallardi, Sarah Uriarte Berry, and Analiese van der Pool--and I forget who on the '03 National Tour-- and Sarah was definitely the best. I was surprised to see Michelle Mallardi on the list. The evening I saw her, it was almost like Marlon Brando was playing Belle. Yick. Though, the audience wasn't exactly receptive. Apparently, every pre-teen on the block was disappointed that Christy Romano was out, and they weren't a very warm and welcoming bunch that evening. Analiese was very good, though fairly intense.

Every time I saw the show on Broadway-- in a span of three years-- Steve Blanchard was the Beast. He was best the last time I saw him, but fnyboi88 is right. The Beast isn't exactly a role fit for high girly screams and screwball comedy.
