Sarah Litzsinger and Steve Blanchard are the only 2 I ever saw back in July 2001. They were both amazing and had great chemistry together! :)

I saw Steve and he was brilliant in my opinion. He is great in everything he does including the reading me and him did together called The Fountain of Youth where he played Juan Ponce De Leon.

I love Steve in the role. And, in disagreement with some earlier posts, I adored the comic touches he added to the character (The girly scream, his mocking Belle, and of course, stamping up and down like a little kid). I think it was a good choice, and here's why:

BatB was probably the most popular family show of its time, with PLENTY of kids in the audience. The main character of the show has to be likeable for the adults and kids alike. The kids already loved Belle because she was, well, Belle. The Beast's comedic moments were a way to win the kids over and make them root for him in the end. Made him less scary, too. And Steve used them in moderation, only in choice moments.
