Ragtime had an INCREDIBLE cast. Audra Macdonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Marin Mazzie, Judy Kaye....AMAZING.

The Aida cast I saw yesterday was perfect- the chemistry was there with ALL of them, and the ensemble was a force- incredibly powerful.

Are we talking only musicals? Long Day's Journey Into Night had an amazing cast. I could never pick a favorite cast from a musical. The performers are all so talented, I just sit back and let them do their magic. I did see Wicked yesterday and I was entranced by the performances.

The original cast of Movin' Out. They are great together. Also the best people to talk to after the show. They are so down to earth.

- Wicked
- Urinetown
- Dance of the Vampires.....AMAZING ENSEMBLE (The material may have "sucked", but the ensemble was mind-blowing!!!)

Idina, Kristin, the obc of Mamma Mia w/Louise pitre and Tina maddigan instead of that horrid OLC on the recording, they should find all the orginal broadway stars and have them record a far better cast recording Updated On: 1/19/04 at 07:43 PM

Unfortunatley, i was born a month before A Chorus lIne closed. I swish I could have seen it, it must have been miraculous. But other shows, like Gypsy and Aida. They are usually star vehicles. Even if the cast is great, there is usually someone who stands out beyond everyone and that's who everyone usually feeds off of. With casts I have seen like Wicked, Metamorpheses, Rent, and Avenue Q. Everyone feeds off of each other. That's why I think those shows are my favs.
