RoundAbout's "39 Steps" in February.
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

My first show of 2008 is tomorrow (Wednesday the 2nd), at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, seeing Tom Stoppard's ROCK 'n' ROLL - after having gotten shafted because of the strike. Nevertheless, I have primo seats for the performance, and (as expected), am greatly looking forward to it.
As for the rest of January? I have 5 more shows booked before the month is out... IS HE DEAD? on Thursday, the 3rd, The Fantasticks on the 7th, Lion King on the 10th, NOVEMBER (the night before opening) on the 16th, and rounding out the month is front row center for THE LITTLE MERMAID on the 30th. Quite the eventful month, I must say. HAPPY THEATREGOING!

So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

I've got tickets coming up for Speech and Debate (Friday) AND Next to Normal but those are both off broadway.
I don't know what my first broadway show will be - the next one I have tickets for is Sunday in the Park but surely I'll see something else before then.

Now what would you say if today I started over?

It's a repeat visit to Xanadu on Sat. (1/5). I'm hoping to catch Fantasia in Color Purple this weekend as well.
Other shows: Little Mermaid next Wed. night, and Wicked (finally get to see Stephanie J. Block!) on 1/15. Planning on a return trip to August: Osage County and I want to see Rock and Roll. Seeing South Pacific in March and Next to Normal in late Jan. probably.
