Hmm... while I like that he takes the time, I wish he didn't state that audience members were entitled to a signature and a photo, even if it's just for him.
Stagedooring should never be seen as part of the theatre-going experience, and I tend to stagedoor. Actors don't owe the audiences anything after they take their final bow. IMHO.

I tend to agree with you. While I think it's wonderful that he spends the time with his fans, I hope that people don't come away with the impression that EVERYONE should do it and any actor who isn't doing it is somehow being a jerk.
It's not something theater-goers should expect. If they get an autograph or two, that's nice, but it's not an entitlement.

We're talking about one particular actor who was appreciative of the fact that people come from many, many miles away to see him in a show. It is his personal feelings that the least he can do to show his appreciation is an autograph and a picture. The fact that he has a Boombox and some dancing is gravy. True, not every actor feels this way nor should they.

I didn't know much about Zachary Levi before I saw the show. He won me over with his performance but then to see him at the stage door? I was completely charmed. The best part was it didn't even seem forced/phony. He genuinely looked like he was having a great time interacting with the fans, and I will definitely make an effort to see future productions he's a part of.

I wonder if Zach will continue his stage door tradition when the NY weather turns hazy, hot and humid?

"In my mind it's only a fair exchange to look these people in they [sic] eye and thank them for affirming me."
I remember when I met him during First Date. I was a bundle of nerves.
I told him I was a fan of his work from Chuck and how much I loved that show. He asked me if I liked 'this' show and I said I loved it and laughed hysterically throughout it, and I told him he was a wonderful singer.
He stopped smiling and looked me dead in the eyes, and said "Bless you" very seriously. The gravity of his delivery totally caught me off guard!

You caught just a bit of his deep religious convictions.

He was charming on Wendy Williams earlier this week. In addition to promoting She Loves Me, he also had high praise for Waitress.
