Jun 22, 2022 — 12:07:25 PM

Neil and Will were at Fenway Park the other evening, leading the crowd in a rousing rendition of "Sweet Caroline".

Company Previews Thread

Nov 20, 2021 — 4:18:18 AM

I've seen two productions, Davis Gaines at the Huntington in Boston in 1997 and Aaron Tveit at the Barrington in the Berkshires in 2017, plus numerous others on video.

Who is replacing Olivo?

Sep 1, 2021 — 1:48:24 AM

The people in that stadium had just stood in line for hours in 90 degree heat, having to show proof of vaccination to enter. Talk about a tough audience. The performers did very well, indeed. As an analogy, after Reagan died, there was a move to put his face on the dime until Nancy Reagan put a stop to it. She said that Reagan had been a fan of FDR and he would have disapproved of the effort to remove FDR's face for his. Also, there were multiple namings of streets, buildings, parks, etc. after JFK died, some of which were rescinded in time. Remember Cape Kennedy?

9 to 5: Why Didn't Dolly Parton win?

Apr 23, 2020 — 12:10:18 AM

The production of 9 to 5 that premiered in Los Angeles was infinitely better than what opened on Broadway. Same can be said for Catch Me If You Can. The Seattle previews production was so much better than the revised Broadway production.
