So Is Zanna going to re-open on Broadway or not? I have heard yes and then some people said plans fell through. I miss this show so much. I think the plot is so awesome and all the music is so fun. If they don’t re-open, they need to release a vocal score to buy or release the performance writes because I want to be Tank or Steve! Hehe, I’m a Zanna dork and I know it. Anyway thanks for any information.

. i love him. but i still wanna see the show
Yeah, I don't think it's gonna happen.
Eh, I would have seen it.

Yeah,
If the Broadway plans fall through they should definitely just go ahead and release the rights. I would love to play Steve.
Akiva
Yeah. I'd kind of want to play either Mike or Tank.

I have been indirectly in contact with Tim Acito, and there ARE plans to mount the show on Broadway thi fall. That's always been the date they've told me, because I've been trying to get the rights since it opened Off-Broadway. I'll let you guys know if they release the rights to it as soon as I know.
They have had a casting notice in Backstage for two years. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

jai rodriguez told a group of us in feb. that he wasn't going to be doing. that's what he said then though. maybe something would change?
Hmmm, I found the cd here for $4.95........(that's right, $4.95)
I asked the guy at the cash register about it, since I knew nothing about it, and he said most people had told him it sucked........so according to what you guys are saying, I should get it....
I like the CD. There are some highlights (most of Jai's songs) and some others not so great. The one thing that does irritate me about the score is the overuse of the word "love." I never thought I could hear that word that many times. If it the show is being re-worked for a bway mounting they need to cut like half of those out.

i only liked a coupla numbers, but it looked like an intriguing fun show and i would go see it
"Straight to heaven" is in my head a good 25% of the time.

The recording takes a while to fall in love with. Some songs (like the opening number) catch you right away. It wasn't until about2 months after buying it (and listening to the constant harrassment of my non zanna dont friends) that you really fall in love with the whole show (for me)! It is wonderful!:)

I've heard from a source(I'm not at legal liberty to say who) but based on what I've heard- Zanna is still planning a mount in the near future and that NO casting choices have been considdered.
As long as you don't mind hearing the word "love" 13283853523 and a half times, it's worth finding the CD. A bunch of snappy, uptempo songs. Some better than others, but worth it for the 'better.'
If it came back to Broadway, I'd definately take the opportunity to go see it, especially if John Tartaglia was really in it, like rumored. But that's such a big fat rumor now, I try not to get too excited.
I am so in love with Zanna Don't and now that you brought it up, they do overuse the word Love. Haha. I never thought about it before. I am eagerly anticipating hearing positive news on a Broadway mounting. I remember about 7 months ago I read maybe on here or somewhere else on the net a review of what was a concert reading of the newly reworked "Zanna Don't!" (Still with the same title I believe at that time.) But they had chopped a lot of songs including the opening number and rewrote Someday you might LOVE me. Also I read that Cindy the bird was scratched. Never the less I am really excited to see or hear anything about the project. I would also love to play Mike and if it doesn't go anywhere I will be joining the line for vocal selections and the rights for production.
I DID buy the cd, listened to it on the way to LA on Sunday and loved it. It was a lot of fun........
