hello we have never been to broadway before and we three are keen to see phantom for childhood nostalgia reasons. we want to go to a saturday night performance and must sit in center orchestra to be right under the chandelier, which i understand the best seats for that are in rows A-F around 100-110? or would H-K work?

im seeing limited options on telecharger until february dates, priced at $182 each for row B or $262 each for row D in center orchestra. im seeing row A 104-111 on broadway.com for $249 each for some november dates (which would be preferable timing). ive tried looking on TKTS but not sure what im doing. should i go ahead and buy now or wait until some point after october 22? where/when can i get discounts? please help and thank you!!

First tip: stay away from Broadway.com. Telecharge, or, if you're using a discount, Telecharge Offers only. I'm not a Phantom orchestra seating expert, but I know that seats through row K are considered the best by many. The mezzanine overhangs the orchestra at row H, so you don't want to go any further back than K, and tiered stadium seating begins at row J. As of yet, they haven't released a discount code, but I'm sure there will be one soon, although it might not apply on a Saturday night, or to the particular seats you want.

I don't know where you live, but if you can get to the theater's box office, it is certainly the best way to purchase tickets. The box office personnel can be extremely helpful and there are no service charges.

Good luck.

Also a view from my seat is very helpful on picking seats. I would suggest checking out that website for guidance.

This will bring you to Phantom’s page :

Saturday nights are always going to have limited availability,  and center orchestra is generally the first to go, so it's not surprising that options are limited for that section.

"im seeing limited options on telecharger until february dates, priced at $182 each for row B or $262 each for row D in center orchestra. im seeing row A 104-111 on broadway.com for $249 each for some november dates (which would be preferable timing)."

While I agree with others that Broadway.com should be avoided at all costs, if $249 is the total cost, it's not that much more than the premium seats on Telecharge.

"ive tried looking on TKTS but not sure what im doing."

To my knowledge,, TKTS only sells advanced tickets in-person at the booth, and the population of tickets is the same as from Telecharge. So if you don't see what you want on Telecharge, you won't find them at TKTS.

While I am seeing some very limited center orchestra tickets, once the show reopens, they likely will be bought at full price, therefore won't be available at discounted prices (the rest of the theatre,  on the otherhand, is another story).

Also, the first 2 rows in the center orchestra, BB and A, don't appear on the Telecharge seating chart right now, and haven't gone on sale yet. You might want to keep an eye out for those.

i do see BB on telecharge for november 13, but am concerned that it would be too close up especially for first-timers and a few rows back would be ideal?

The first couple of rows in the orchestra have been removed, presumably to distance the audience from the conductor and musicians in the pit due to COVID concerns. The center section always started one row behind the sides because the pit opening creates a bow shape at the front of the stage. Previously, there were AA and BB rows on the sides and now the sides start at A. I suspect this means there will be a lot leg room for people seated in the first row. It's unclear whether this configuration is permanent, or if the removed seats will return at some point in the future.

The seats underneath the chandelier (center orchestra, rows A through about F) are designated as Premium, so they will always be more expensive and will either be undiscounted or less significantly discounted than standard seats.
