Posted: 11/3/04 at 12:51amWe're doing a show right now called "The Young and the Fair" or "The Young and Fair" or...I dunno. It's one of those two. And it's a cast of 10 girls. (I think it's 10 girls)

"Waiting for the Parade" - a drama set in World War II.
"Ladyhouse Blues" - set in World War I.
Both plays portray women dealing with thier husbands/brothers/ sons going off to war.

"Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" by Oscar-winner Alan Ball ("American Beauty")
A brilliant, funny, savage, and heartwarming comedy. Features only one male character, that I would personally cut.

Anton in Show Business is mostly, if not all women.
if you're lookin at musicals,
Dames at Sea has 3 great female parts and only 3 male parts
Ruthless is comprised of 5-6 females playing numerous roles (one role is usually played by a man in drag, but could be played by a woman)

Posted: 11/3/04 at 4:44pmSeveral of the plays mentioned above are not "all Female", but rather, "mostly female". CRIMES OF THE HEART, DANCING AT LUGHNASA, STAGE DOOR all have at least one man in the cast.

Posted: 11/3/04 at 4:57pmNot sure if you're looking for musicals, but what about BEEHIVE, the all-female 60's revue? It can be done with four women and requires really strong singer/actresses.
