Well, it's not supposed to be released until January 11th - I believe the date was changed. So Amazon's release date is wrong.

i'm buying it, pretty much for the same reason as ljay....i'm also buying the recording of her in grease simply because i want the revival cast (megan mullally and hunter foster...how can you go wrong) without rosie

I already have it. I think it's great... I have the Donna Murphy recording as well, before anyone jumps on me. Brooke brings a lot to the role that I enjoy -- and there are parts of both performances that I adore.

I'm too obsessed with Donna Murphy's WT... I wouldn't ever listen to Brooke, i just dont think shes that good of a singer. she was great on stage because i could see her facial expressions.. other than that i would never want to just listen to her sing.

Like I keep saying to everyone, you have to remember that the role of Ruth Sherwood wasn't written for a strong singer. While clearly, Brooke cannot hold a candle to Donna in the respect of singing, she definitely held her own in the role.

Brooke isn't really a singer, but she isn't terrible. I am sorry, I know Roz Russell must've been fabolous in the role in the 50's. But her singing just dosen't do it for me at all, it just doesen't sound good, and she often sounds flat. And that just goes to show you, the role isn't for a "singer". If you listen closely, Brooke sounds like Roz at times.

Ugh. Not only did I SEE Brooke in Grease, I have the CD... the Rizzo tracks are rarely played here

I just got home from Borders (where I bought Caroline or Change!) and they had copies of the Brooke Shields WT recording for sale... (if it matters, I'm in the Chicago area)
