Folks, it's comforting to know that we haven't run out of movies to adapt into stage musicals. The latest announcement comes from the pages of the New York Daily News.
Just how many people do they think are going to be excited about all these movies turned musical?
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

Thanks for the link, kbritt, but did you notice anything while perusing the website? After boasting the amazing credits of the songwriting team (also bookwriters?) when you click on other links, such as "About the Show" (um, the reason for creating the blasted website) it only says "coming soon"!! The same goes for "News" and so on... and I doubt this odd website is brand-new. Between this oddity, and the very vague press release from the New York Daily news today, we learn almost nothing more than a musical of the novel THE NOTEBOOK (which was also a successful feature film) might appear on a New York stage at some point in the future. Big whoop.
I guess it's pointless to note that the wildly successful novel came first. There may or may not be a musical and it may or may not end up on Broadway and it may or may not be good. Pretty much like any other musical.

I did notice that. The site has been around for probably about 2 years now. I just really posted it as proof that there has been a small production that was staged in NC. Just to give people somewhat an idea of what they could be expecting, I suppose.
