I was walking to a matinee of Porgy and Bess at the Rodgers, and my dad clocked Valerie Harper in the breezeway of the Marquis Theatre, in a t-shirt and shorts wearing little make-up. She then sat a row behind me at Porgy and Bess by herself. Later the same day, on my way out of the evening performance of Once, Harper came out of the Booth after seeing Other Desert Cities, with her make up and hair all done up, in a beautiful blue dress as if she just stepped off a red carpet.

Does anyone know if this is significant from the 2019/2020 Canada/US tour that went around with Sting?
2026 Tony Awards Performance Predictions (or What Songs They Should and Will Perform)
I don't know the show, but whatever song from Two Strangers has the TikTok sound that went viral ("up to Rockafeller") should be what they perform.
RIP to Jeffrey Lane, bookwriter of DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS and WOMEN ON THE VERGE
As a fan of the show, I am a little upset there isn't very much mention of "Bette", the short lived sitcom he created for Miss M.
Putting it Together on The Late Show with Colbert
I loved every minute of this!
I also thought to myself how attractive Bernadette is/still is.
Meryl Streep considering return to Broadway with Martin Short
I feel like they would both be incredible in a revival of "I Do! I Do!".
Woman Of The Year Revival Anyone ???
Any song called "Shut Up, Gerald!" needs to be heard on Broadway 8 times a week.
Who Is Your One Personal MUST WIN Tony Award This Year?
Follies for Best Musical...every year I hope they are taking it away from Two Gentlemen of Verona and making a correction.
In all seriousness, I think Cats needs to win revival. It reinvents the show as something many haters of the original want to see. That defines a successful revival to me.

Remember when Broadway WEEK meant 5 days worth of shows?!
Liza memoir and promotion tour
Feinstein has never bothered me until the past year. I fell like Liza has always been very "obsessive/loyal" about certain people. For example, she had that chunk where Charles Aznavour was everywhere in her life, Jim Caruso was around a lot, Billy Stritch was with Liza for another chunk, then Michael Feinstein.
I had some reservations about Liza "producing" his Gershwin Country album. Something seemed very clout to me about that. I recently did a re

Will Disney bring Hercules to Broadway?
rosscoe(au) said: "Disney has basically become a parody of themselves. Aladdin was a major mess of a show. What made the movie enjoyable was destroyed on stage ( of course no one was ever going to be Robin Williams ) but it came across as a school pantomime.
From what I hear and read from those that have seen it, sadly Hercules is the same."
Hot take, but I saw the Toronto tryout of Aladdin, where his three friends (Babkak, Omar, and Kassim) were narrators, and
David Henry Hwang is revising FLOWER DRUM SONG again for East West Players
I highly suggest finding a copy of "Flower Drum Songs: the story of Two Musicals" by David H. Lewis. It is a fascinating and informative read about the creation of the original production, film, revival, and some productions in between.

Prince of Egypt @ LCT
Some context is missing here.
Prince of Egypt is playing David Geffin Hall at Lincoln Centre, which is being rented out like the Jeremy Jordan and Laura Benanti concert of Parade, the Ragtime concert with Lea Salonga and Norm Lewis, Titanic concert, Joseph with Noah Gavin, etc.
The Man of La Mancha concert is playing the Beaumount, but is a gala for Lincoln Centre Theatre. This is same as the Camelot concert with Lin Manuel Miranda, which somewhat lead to the revival

AMERICAN CLASSIC tv show
ggersten said: "I presume, despite the involvement of Bob Martin, this has no connection to "Slings and Arrows" which was about an actor who has a public meltdown (multiple) and then returns to his "family" in New Burbage to save it with a production of a classic play.
Per the website, this show is about an actor who has a public meltdown and returns home to his family theatre to save it with a production of a classic play.https://press.amazonmgmstudios.com/us/en/mgm-plus-series/american-classic/1
I do wonder if the British playwright, Richard Bean, is okay with his name being used in this show."
You know, I thought this has to be a "somewhat-inspired" version of Slings and Arrows lol
COME FROM AWAY at Papermill
I didn't know it was "basically" the same production as Ogunquit...which is funny, because I thought to myself that the set looked very similar to another production photos I saw, and wondered if it was the same designer.
Have you ever seen a show before it goes to Broadway and feel…
SkidRow82 said: "I saw Six and Death Becomes Her prior to their Broadway runs. Loved them both, but when I'm in NYC the vibe is always that time is limited - so I'm always going to see something new."
By the same token the rare few times that I get to the city, I always try to see the "flops" or the things that I know will never tour.
Have you ever seen a show before it goes to Broadway and feel…
I was speaking to a friend about this over the holidays, and the want to revisit shows especially in the subscription world.
For example, Toronto had the North American/Try-out of &Juliet in Summer 2022. Now, we have a Canadian production, which is apart of the subscription. While, I had fun nothing changed between the 2 productions, other than cast. Doesn't mean much. Although, the pre-Broadway Aladdin in Toronto was such a different beast that while I didn't get ove
