I got it yesterday! I love it, and I really wish I could've seen it on stage again. The only problem - my 48-page color booklet with "nearly two dozen production photos" didn't come with it! I emailed PS Classics and now I'm waiting for a response. I want that booklet.
You also cry when you go to the theatre!

I didn't realize PS Classics released their CD's early like that, so I preordered mine from Amazon. So I sadly still have about two weeks more to wait.

Jessica, I'm pretty sure you can cancel pre-orders. And crazy smiles, PS Classics (psclassics.com) released it early.
Literally just got mine. Putting it in now. I can't wait for this to start.:) I think of all Broadway performers I've ever been exposed to, Nathan Lane is my favorite:) And Roger Bart will, I'm sure, be worth the price of the CD, as always.

Crazy smiles, I order it on the seventh and it came yesterday. A friend of mine got it two days ago, and a few others got it today. So around five days.

I "aww"ed so loud when I saw it and he said that line. "I couldn't compete with that." *sniffs* He says it differently on the CD - or, at least, different than I remember it. But it's still so cute and sad.
Okay neat! Thanks. I love your Albin quote. Now, I'm off to buy the CD.
I love "Invocation and Instructions to the audience." I remember loving that song as part of "Putting it together."
"Nathan Lane is truly an Olympic Comic Artist!" - AP
Indeed.
"No need to worry master. Not while I'm around!"

Ooh Mythus! I never knew you could do that!
Needless to say, the order at Amazon is gone and I just ordered it through PS Classics. Yay! Now it'll be here like a week and a half earlier. I can't wait!!

This CD is making me smile. A lot.
Granted, I'm skipping around, but I've been dying to hear Nathan sing "Ariadne" since I first heard about the show. And I never realized that Kathy Voytko (aka Evita) was in the show:) And yay for Roger Bart.

Yay for Roger Bart indeed!
He seriously needs to come back to Broadway. Love him on Desperate Housewives, but there's nothing like Roger live. Yum...

"When a man knows nothing and thinks he knows everything - that points clearly to a political career!"
now who wrote that??? hehe
I don't know where the line between the original play, the Shevelove book and Nathan's revisions begin, but I gotta give props for "It's only a play" and its political implications.
"Basically we have two kinds of leaders: ineffectual and corrupt." --->
I love when art and politics are married flawlessly. This is seriously much smarter and thought-provoking than I thought it was going to be, and I applaud the entire cast, crew, and creative team.
I'm listenig to it again now... Updated On: 1/13/05 at 05:47 PM
I ordered my last Friday and am still waiting by my mailbox. Brrrrrr! It's cold outside! Must be coming to CA via Pony Express. Maybe tomorrow.
