i think it's like, stuff they're focused on instead of school work, like when they say "may be neglecting the things i should do, but we all got our junk, and my junk is you"

The song focuses on Wendla, Martha, Anna, and Thea talking about their crushes and obsessions, and how they're addicted to their crushes like drugs -junk. At least, that's how I take it. Great song either way!!

Okay, I was originally going to take the song a verse at a time and do all the different bits, but the whole thing can be summed up as "this song is about having a mad crush on someone". With a few undertones (which aren't so under when you're watching the show) of masturbation. The phrase "my junk" basically means you find this person's presence almost addictive, like a drug (or your "junk"), and you think about them far more than can be strictly healthy. It's just basically a lot of "I know I've got to do my homework and tidy my room and do my chores, but I've got a big ol' crush on you, so I'm just going to lie on my bed, listening to 'unrequited love' music, and fantasising about being boyfriend and girlfriend (or whatever) with you".

Some of the phrases are a bit strangely worded, but I actually understand the whole thing a lot better now that I've done this.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some things to neglect and some junk to think about. Perhaps this is why I find this song so easy to understand... :P
