the 41 dollar tickets are like discount ones nowadays. i dont think billy elliot or any other show started the donations for broadway equity fights aids, but hairspray has. i am so excited to see the show, and they didnt have who was playing billy/michael/smallboy when i walked by the theatre to work at 640ish.
they are selling: poster w/ autographs(from the current cast i think-60 dollars, paterson plank t-shirts from the gym class-20 dollars, caroles for the cure vol 10-20 dollars, you cant stop the beat wristbands-2 dollars(3 for 5 dollars, and utra clutch hairspray-sry forgot how much, autograph books for stagedooring-i think5 or ten dollars.
little note rusty mowery is back swinging in the show.
would you rather sit in a $41 rear mezz seat, or a $81 partial view front mezz seat? I sat in the partial view, and I did not find I missed too much of the show to not recommend the seat. I have a $41 seat for Nov 15th, trying to decide if I want to see the show again from that seat. I walked up there and the stage seemed far away, but it seemed there was a decent view of the stage.
I was in the last possible row of the theater and I enjoyed it. I didn't feel like I was away from the action or anything. I sat in the box offices for Act II and I hated it. I felt like I was missing the whole stage picture.
