which rehearsals would you have loved to be a "fly on the wall" for me, it would have been the rehearsah of Pippin becuase of the tension between Fosse and Schwartz. what rehearsals would you like to have been present for?
I would have liked to see how Into the Woods and Sweeney Todd envolved from the rehersal period to the production on Broadway. Does anyone know if the ITW and ST changed alot duirng rehersal (rewrites, addins, cutouts)?
Sweeney apparently didn't change much during rehearsals, although I think Sondheim went into rehearsal without the end of the show written. Some of the things that were included on the cast recording (the "Now signorini..." section of "The Contest" and the Judge's "Johanna") were cut in previews.
Into the Woods, however, changed a lot, and the Act Two that they started with in New York previews was very different than what they opened with, which was different still from the version that played San Diego.
Dreamgirls OBC. So many myths and rumors. I'd love to see how true they were.
Plus just to marvel in the genius of Bennett during his creative process on this amazing show.

Whenever I've sat through a show that was so obviously a disaster...Think Thou Shalt Not....In My Life...Blonde in the Thunderbird...I find myself asking--WHAT WERE THEY THINKING????
Soooo, I would love to have been a fly on the wall of these impending titanics to gain some insight about what the creative team and actors really believed..
Yeah, it would have been something to be at Do I Hear a Waltz? when director John Dexter called leading lady Elizabeth Allen a c*nt.
The Producers. Also to see the development of the show but also just for the fun of it. (I have a feeling there was a LOT of fun there!)
See What I Wanna See. It's such a complicated show and all of the actors must know their character's state of mind and how the other character's are viewing them: real thng vs. someone else's perception and all that jazz.
I'd love to see the ideas flying around the room.
The Betty Buckley/Debbie Gibson GYPSY......I understand some emails about the sh'nanigans of the two divas got around the internet. Anyone know what happened? Allegedly?
Borstalboy
What happened was this. John Flynn was playing on of the farm boys in the Paper Mill production of GYPSY and was then writing e-mails to his friends at night about what had happened that day. Somehow those e-mails were then forwarded to other people, and they forwarded them and so on. He actually has a very funny show that has won several awards. I've provided a link.

Passion. I would have liked to have viewed Donna Murphy's process of becoming Fosca as well as seen all of the "horrifying" prosthetics.
POTO
Wicked
Les Mis
I just love to see how major technical things come together (ex The Chandalier or "Defying Gravity" or Les Mis in general)
EDIT: And Beauty and the Beast

A would love to have been there when they were recording allof the dancer's stories that eventually became A Chorus Line, and also what the reaction was of people who's stories went to different characters than they played. (Ex. In the show, Judy talks/sings about cutting off all of her sister's hair, but in real life that happened to Donna Mecechnie.)
