Tarzan is a fine show, John just doesn't like it. If you want a show to sit back and have a fun afternoon, go see it. If you want to study a masterpiece, see something else.

Best Advice: Don't listen to people that tell you NOT to see a show, if you wanna see it, don't let anyone change your mind. I missed great shows because of that.

Even with the bad word of mouth and reviews, I did see Hot Feet. Earth, Wind & Fire is my all time favorite group so I saw it for that reason. No, it is not the greatest show. Just about everything you hear about it is true. (Except I don't think Debbie Allen's daughter is all that great. But she doesn't have the best material to work with here. Or the best choreography either.) I did, however, thoroughly enjoy the music. The band pretty much rocked the house and the offstage vocalists were wonderful. That's what kept me in the theatre.

If you haven't seen Drowsy or Sweeney, and are interested in seeing them, I would put those on the top of your list. JMO

Catch Spring Awakening at the Atlantic Theater if you're in the city before its last performance on April 6th (they also offer seats on the sides of the stage for $10 if you call the box office and ask) It's amazing, incredible stuff. Inishmore and Sweeney are wonderful as well, and I laughed an awful lot at Drowsy and even Pig Farm (if you like blood with your slapstick!)

I agree with muscle23... see what you want to see. You may regret it, you may not. Actually, if you hate a show, just try and appreciate what you saw...

I was deeply disappointed with BROOKLYN. I liked about two songs and thought costumes were interesting. I loved the tiny fake weed in the crack in the pavement, what detail in the set. I thought overall it was crap, but I can appreciate the work of the actors and crew.

Tarzan is very good. Just be prepared with alot of noise in the audience bacause there is alot of little kids their. I would see rent, wicked, and if you wanted a funny show see the producers.
