So I actually have a question regarding Wicked, my first ever. I JUST bought a ticket to both this and Billy Eilliot since I am coming out to New York in February and thought I'd take advantage of those two. My problem is that I have NO clue what the seating is like in either venue. At The Gershwin, I have Orchestra A 14. Is this a good seat? Bad? Too close? I have never been, so sorry if this seems obvious.
Oh, and for Billy Elliot I have Right Orch Row F Seat 14. Just thought it was weird that both are 14.
Oooh and for West Side Story, I am trying to get a ticket to first night of previews, but best available is ORCH Q. At the Palace, how bad is Q? Should I just get Mezz. instead? Is there even a Mezz??
All these questions. Thank you.

A 14 is a great seat. You are 5 rows back on the right side. You might miss some things that happen in the back of the stage but nothing major.
As for the Palace I have never sat in the mezz. Row Q isn't that bad in the Orch. The mezz overhand night be in you way for some scenes but I have no clue if it will be.
No clue about the Billy Elliot question.
Mucho gracias, defyGravity777. Thanks much for the quick reponse!
I'm already stuck with the Billy Elliot and Wicked tickets (and I mean stuck in the best sense of the word) and now I'm trying to decide whether or not I should get opening night WSS tickets as well. *debates it*
The palace is huge. I would grab it. It's still good. ANd it's freaking WEST SIDE STORY!!!!!!
"Oooh and for West Side Story, I am trying to get a ticket to first night of previews..."
"now I'm trying to decide whether or not I should get opening night WSS tickets as well."
Wait, I'm confused. Do you want to go to first previews or opening night?
It seems that the closest people can get now are in rows like P and Q. I have a feeling they will release more tickets in the coming months, even for the preview shows.
On the other hand, if you are contemplating about an opening night ticket (I am not sure if they even released those for this show), I would get that now because those will be harder to get (as with most shows on their opening night). If they release them to the public, they usually have limited seats available, mostly in the mezzanine or balcony. Row Q orchestra shouldn't be that bad - I sat in M center in the Palace, which is 4 away from Q, and saw everything fine.

At the Gershwin I've sat A 10, it was listed as full view, but it was partial view. The seat next to me was listed as partial view, so you will miss some things but it won't take away from your experience.
Thank you all for your responses. I now have tickets to Wicked, Billy Elliot, and West Side Story. At least two out of three of those I honestly thought I would never see because I assumed they would be sold-out. Yay for planning things months ahead of time. I'm not too bothered about the partial view with Wicked since I'm just excited to finally see it, and with WSS I'm sitting in section Q. I decided it was best after looking at my Legally Blonde ticket, where I apparently sat at Row O, which is close enough, and I recall being able to see everything just fine.
I'm getting excited. The problem now is that since there's two weeks in between my first show and last, I'll have a lot of days to fill up with amazing shows. Gotta start doing some research! :)

Where are you sitting for Billy?
Also, 9 to 5 and Shrek could fill up those dates. So can 13 and what ever other shows are opening.
For Billy Elliot, I am seeing it on Feb. 14 at 2PM and I am sitting Right Orchestra, Row F Seat 14. Is this good? And I didn't think 9 to 5 was going to be open by February. Is it? As for Shrek, I tried buying tickets yesterday but the promo code was only good until January, so I am awaiting new promos. Thanks again. :)

Oh, I got you confused with a different poster who is coming in May but asking the same questions, sorry. Billy Elliot I haven't seen so I can't shed to much light on that seat but from what I have heard most of the action takes place centre stage and you aren't right in the front so you should be fine.
A-ha, I see. Thank you again for the quick reply and I'm just stoked to already have tickets to three shows I've been dying to see. *beams*
