What time are you going to be able to get to the city on Saturday morning? I would say get there by 9am if you want to rush Chicago or Grey Gardens (just to be safe). I think Company is easier to rush these days, so that might be an option if you can't get there early enough.

I didn't like Spelling Bee or Spring Awakening, so I would say rush the other three if you can. I think Spelling Bee only has a lottery anyway (though that could have changed without me knowing about it).

Good luck, and have fun at whatever you end up getting ticket for.

I suppose it depends on your time frame. You need to be there early for Spring Awakening and Spelling Bee has a lottery rush. Grey Gardens and Company are both fairly easy to rush. I got side orchestra seats two or three rows back at GG at about 6:30 p.m. on a Friday. I recommend Company, though. re: help- please? For what it's worth.

Christine Ebersole. Performance of a lifetime. Mary Louise Wilson was wonderful, as well. Even without having seen the documentary I was floored. It was just really old-fashioned and sad and moving.

I suggested Grey Gardens ecause I felt that it was wonderfully executed (whereas the flaws in Spring Awakening really annoyed me). I would problably see Spring Awakening again before seeing Grey Gardens again, but if forced to choose seeing either for the first time, I'd stick with Grey Gardens (just a personal prefrence). Also, I have a feeling that Spring Awakening will be around longer than Grey Garderns. I don't really know if that helps... just my reasoning.

Based on your description of what you want to see, Grey Gardens. Er, Hairspray.

But seriously, Grey Gardens fits that better than Spring Awakening or Company, but to be fair, I can listen to the Spring Awakening CD pretty much nonstop since I got it, and Company is the only one of those shows that I saw twice.

Maybe you should just stay home and study your grammar and punctuation book?

Grey Gardens!!!
Christine Ebersole's performance is going to be legendary. You'll be able to say you saw her.
It's also definitely the more traditional of the shows.
Enjoy!
