I agree with Jim on Liza as Rose, although I can die in peace after Bernadette Peter's did it.

How did Donna Murphy didn't play Stella in A Streetcar Named Desire? (I wanna see her in a straight play) (Still hoping she'll play Amanda Wingfield or Blanche when she gets older)

How did Victoria Clark never play Ms.Lovitt in "Sweeney Todd" (still time for that). I mean she played an awesome Beggar Woman!

How did Idina Menzel ever pass up the opportunity to be Evita in London? For goodness sake, it must be awesome to be offered a role like that and say: "Ho-hum I'd rather spend more time with my sexy chocolate hubby!" Haha

Norm played Coalhouse last year in North Carolina. It was a noteworthy production that also featured Julia Murney as Mother and Michael Rupert as Tateh.

I agree with you about Clark as Mrs. Lovett. She'd be phenomenal, no doubt. Carolee would definitely be a superb Margaret, as well. She has the right amount of compassion and pathos for the part. You're full of good ideas this morning, DD!

How has Donna Murphy never played Mother in Ragtime or Ruth in Dessa Rose- both only in workshops. I also have her in mind for the dream role of Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes!

this is a fun thread! i forgot norm did coalhouse in north carolina. how amazing was he??! i love him. i was thinking about how he didn't do it on broadway..but he probably would have if it run longer!
how did stephanie lawrence never play dorothy brock in 42nd street? or ANY broadway show to my knopwledge yet! has she ever been on broadway. she is wonderful!
