i was hoping next summer i might get to go to new york again and i was wondering if there was a chance it would probably still be playing.
how long do you think wedding singer will play?

I think at least a couple of years. The show just got a nice boost in ticket sales after their Tony performance.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Geez, I hope it plays forever but there's probably no chance of that.
As much as I wish it was longer, it'll probably close in summer of next year or a couple months before. I'll range it around: February-June

It`s as big of a hit as DRS! I don`t see why it shouldn`t run for another 4 to 5 years!

Well I hope i'm wrong! But a lot of shows are big hits in their early run and then they start to lose ticket sales. Sweeney Todd is kinda like that. It was doing fantastic now it's barely at 60%.

It is nowhere near asmuch of a success as DRS was when it opened.
Pretty much up until Lithgow left, the show was making between $200,000 and $400,000 over it's weekly op costs. Wedding Singer has yet to break $200,000 in it's weekly profit.

DRS got far better reviews than Wedding Singer did, and DRS is rooted in physical comedy whereas Wedding Singer is romatnic comedy.

I think it's a fun show and it will have a good run. Great choreography and costumes. There were a lot of teenagers there who loved it so I think it has a good market and covers a certain demographic that not that many shows reach.

Well, in a way DRS is a Romantic Comedy too! (Not like as strong of a romantic comedy but still) Between Christien, Freddy, and Lawrence (Lawrence even has a serious song "Love Sneaks in")
