I thought Fun Home and Hamilton were pieces of genius! I cannot see anything that well done then DEH. I think there are some nice musicals. But Should I wait until next year until Harry Potter comes. I do not think I should see Groundhog Day. And is Hello Dolly well written or a showcase?
I was hoping for it to sweep the tonys but no chance it will even get nominated Groundhog Day. And beside DEH there is literally nothing I want to see. I think Comet is too confusing
Come From Away seems promising
This season is one of the most exciting I've personally seen in years. If you can't find anything to like, I honestly feel sorry for you.
This season has been remarkable. One of my favorite seasons in a long time. This has definitely been a better season for plays than new musicals, but there have still been some great musicals (Dear Evan Hansen, Great Comet, Come From Away, Groundhog Day, War Paint).

I am a minority here, but I personally enjoy Groundhog Day more than DEH. I hope you'd give it a try before you make any judgement. After all, it just won an Olivier.

They literally tell you who everyone is for about five minutes during THE GREAT COMET.

Comet is only confusing because it's different so your brain isn't used to it to watching like it. The story is fairly simple and if you listen, you'll be fine
I think it's been a decent season- most of my disappointment comes from the fact that it's been so packed, but few things (Come From Away, Significant Other, Great Comet) have really wowed me. Most of what I've seen has been good, but not much has felt great.

Honestly, I've been really disappointed with almost everything. However, last season was so good it was hard to top.
I think it's been a good season for plays (both in terms of which playwrights have been on Broadway and quality of their work) but the musicals have been disappointing. There's just so many things opening and so many have been mediocre.

That's a fair point. It's the musicals and Glass Menagerie that have been bad.

Much agreed. I wish people were paying to see the plays...
