can someone please explain to me why the song list on the Little Women website is so ... changed? did they add more songs for the tour and then cut others? when did they make these changes???

It doesn't match with the CD, and it doesn't match with the way I saw the show in San Diego either. is that some sort of pre-Broadway song list? I hope...

I saw it last October in Sacramento and it matched the CD. . . I don't know what the website list is. . though I would be kind of interested to hear those songs.

I saw the tour back in January and it followed the way the song list is for Broadway. Either they made some major cuts/changes within the show, or the website has a lot of type-os. I would assume it's the latter. I wouldn't think a show like Little Women would make major changes like that especially since it probably will be on tour for much longer.

I was just thinking, perhaps its the outdated song list. There was one song Jo sang, that had the lyrics "Small scraps of paper..." and if I'm not mistaken, that was the song "Suddenly Life." They cut that song either during the tryouts or previews (I believe it was tryouts) and replaced it with "Fire Within Me." I think that may be the list from tryouts.

I saw the Little Women tour three weeks ago in Los Angeles, and it was the same as on Broadway. The list definitley seems to be a sort of pre-Broadway song list.

That looks like the first song list that they released before previews started. I would have liked to hear what they were like since they are in place of songs that I didn't like so much.

The character of Amy for one thing is really a neat character, very stubborn and willful at the beginning and she has quite the arch: she goes from being the littlest sister to really (in a way) the most grown up and sophisticated. I was surprised to see Amy be the least drawn out character and Beth became really the second most interesting of the sisters (I feel partly due to Megan McGinnis and "Some Things Are Meant to Be.")

I really hated the song "The Most Amazing Thing." I do feel that Amy and Laurie deserved another song, but it should have been a duet much like "Later/Soon" from "A Little Night Music" rather than a bouncy telling that they are married. Since telling Jo that they are married really should have been dialogue, and the duet should have been with the two of them in Paris dealing with the death of Beth (which was tramatic to Amy and what brought Laurie and her together.)

Obviously though there is only so much one can put in the show and Jo really is the heart and soul. But I still feel there was missed opportunity for parts of it, even though there was some great original casting and lovely songs.

Those songs are way before they were in previews because in the previews "Suddenly Life" was not in it, it was replaced with "The Fire Within Me." But I think "Suddenly Life" was a little bit better.

I miss "I'll Love You Anyway, I Swear." It was replaced by "Five For All Forever" or whatever it's called, but I liked it better.
