I'm pretty sure she went on at least once.

Kristin missed some performances in the beginning of the run and I think she went on then.

If you mean Melissa Bell Chait, then yes I do believe she went on.

She went on 6 times, all in the same week.

This young woman was the perfect fit for this role and her stage presence was admirable, and I do hope after her illness 2 years ago, she has been able to recover fully and come back to Broadway, because she is a talent! Wishing her clover leaves!

adamgreer, are you sure she went on that many times? A friend of mine took a master class with her last year, and (according to my friend) she told everyone there that she only went on once. Other people have said she went on one time as well.

Btw, it's Chait, not Chiat. Also Melissa, not Malissa.

EDIT: Did a little research... According to what I found, Melissa went on twice: November 13th 2003 and May 20th 2004.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

You should check your research...this Playbill article confirms her six appearances as Glinda:

Chenoweth was out November 18-22 (returning for the evening performance). That's a total of six shows.

very thorough of you, adamgreer.

Didn't she also go on once at the Curran?

adamgreer, I admit that I was wrong and should have looked further, but don't act so high and mighty. You too were also inaccurate... all of the times she went on were not limited to that single week as you said they were.

I'm not trying to act high and mighty. If I came across that way, I apologize.

Any relation to Marcus Chait of Urban Cowboy (and rumored to be in upcoming Pirate Queen- I hope!)? Interesting/rare last name, so I would guess so? Anybody know?

I saw her and she was beyond wonderful. I didn't miss Chenowith for one stinking minute. Melissa was stellar.
