Just curious- not going to cat-burgle anyone- but what treasured Broadway possessions are close to people's hearts?
For me, original design artwork for Mary Poppins, I suspect; or, if I could only find it, my old tape of the original Assassins workshop with SS playing the piano! Oh, and for some unknown reason I have a pair of Jim Dale's shoes.
A small cardboard stand with flyers promoting the German production of Sunset Boulevard. It was the closing day of the production, and I asked nicely in GERMAN if I could have it. And I did! I'm not German, and I don't think I speak the language very well. Maybe they gave it to me because they felt sorry for me or something .
Okay, so it's not Broadway, but it's Broadway related.

I cant pick ONE, I just have a few:
-OBC of WICKED signed poster
-My MILLIE playbill signed: "To Chip with so much love Sutton Foster"
-glove from GYPSY signed by Bernie, John, and Tamy
-WICKED Playbill signed to me from some of the cast
AIDA playbill, signed by the entire OBC.
Tick, Tick... BOOM! poster signed by Raúl Esparza.
Actually, I think a lot of the things that are really important to me are simply photographs - I think the memories are a lot more imporant, in many cases than the things you come away with, and photos are the best way to preserve them.
I'd have to say my stuff signed by Adam Pascal. And I agree Emcee, photographs are wonderful.

Yeah, I agree with the pic. thing. In that case, all the pic.s of me with Bway ppl, the signs, marquise, lights, and my family with me.
My photos are priceless to me, but if I had to pick an actual souvenir, it would be the miniature piano I have from the opening night party of The Boy From Oz. I was lucky (enterprising?) enough to have Hugh J. sign the lid of the piano.
It now sits in a little glass case on my entertainment center, a reminder of how some nights in your life can be just *perfect*.

For me it would be the following: My signed cds(LSOH, Avenue Q, The Producers, The Boy from Oz), My signed programs(LSOH, The Producers, and Avenue Q), my signed posters(LSOH, Avenue Q, Dracula, La Cage Aux Folles, and SpamAlot), various signed playbills, and signed photos. Although it's not broadway related, I also treasure my copies of Christmas with the Simpsons and Simpsons hit and run signed by Hank Azaria.

Yes...pictures are so precious! And a couple of letters and e-mails that I got from some actors (my favorite actores/actresses...they are not "big names" but very nice to fans), as a reply to my fan letters. They are really my personal treasure. Very special!
heh. I've saved an e-mail or two, as well.

My great-great grandfather was a stage hand and he saved the sweat from the brow of The Devine One, Sarah Bernhardt.
I have small vial that was sealed the day he secured the sweat. It's never been opened.
I take it out and look at it often.

A birthday card from friends with some of the Broadway Bears on it, including the Cervantes/Don Quixote bear. On my birthday, Brian Stokes Mitchell signed "Happy Bear-day Chris" on it at the Martin Beck (now Al Hirschfel) stage ddoor.

OMG! I CANT believe I forgot this: My grandparents gave me a FOSSE poster signed by the OBC.
my dracula closing night playbill signed by Frank Wildhorn, Tom Hewitt, Kelli O'Hara, and Melissa Errico.
Undoubtly my most unique broadway souvenir would have to be a vase signed by the entire cast of Gypsy that I purchases at last year's broadway flea market! It has everyone's signature and GYPSY drawn like the playbill (ticket stub, rose ,feather boa, spotlight ect...). Its awesome! Along with that, I'd have to say my Gypsy garders(2) and gloves (2) which are signed by Tammy "much love always Renee! Tammy", and my program signed by the entire cast... ahhh good times!
and my RENT playbill signed by Constantine. :)
and ym other RENT playbill signed by the whole cast, and a little sign me and my cousin took down from outside Studio 54... it's not broadway related, but it was after seeing Adam as Emcee lol.
i love this topic! hmm id have to say that i LOVE all of my Dirty Rotten Scoundrels autographs and emails that i have from some of the cast. my letter and sgined playbill and pics from carole shelley. and i also love my rocky horror show returns poster of terrance mann and sebastian bach signed by terrance mann. but definitely my entire DRS collection i just adore! lol.

Probably pictures of me with different B'way people. My Sutton Foster one is my absolute favorite. Also, my LW poster signed by the cast and Sutton Foster. I don't have that much stuff though. Trying to make a collection.
Pictures are definitley awesome, me and jlt and me and Raúl are some of my favorites. I also treasure signed playbills, pictures, and OBCR's. But a REALLY cool one is my Camelot signed Souveineer program from from the original Julie Andrew's run in Camelot. My grandfather buys and sells different autographed items and he gave it to me. Its really awesome!!
