Actually this is the West Coast regional premiere.

The actual first non-Broadway production is in Dallas.

Portland actually has quite a good arts scene, and is a fantastic city. No surprise here that they'd host a west coast premier.

tourboi, I think there's a scene where Natalie mentions that her parents went to Portland on their honeymoon, and adds, "I mean... Portland?" I might have the details wrong, but just thought I'd make a note of this, lest you think previous posters are dissing Portland. :)

Yah, it was disappointing that the national tour couldn't even come here for a week when it spent a month in Seattle! I wouldn't mind seeing it with Susannah Mars instead of Diana Ripley though since I already have the soundtrack...
