i usually sing more classical soprano songs, but lately i've really been using my mezzo-soprano/more belty voice. anyone know any fun songs similar to notice me horton and times like this songs except maybe more uptempo? i'm basically open 2 anything so i can stop being a one trick pony w/ the soprano ballads! thanks so much!

"Purpose" is arranged for a girl in the Ave Q vocal book..I'm the same voice type as you (assuming from waht you wrote) and this song was really fun.

And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps... What did she realize, Kitten? That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs. What's wrong with that? Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had... Where? On Pluto. Notice Me Horton is a great song. I am a soprano and I've sung that a bunch of times.

"Notice Me, Horton" is adorable. When my high school did it, our Gertrude was a soprano.
