Is the seasons because its dominated by Hamilton going to be a one good show season. In reference to new shows

I'm sure there will be many good shows. One show can't dominate the audience....there are only so many seats. If anything, HUGE buzz on one show, shines a light on the rest of b'ways offerings. Quality is quality.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Thinking of seeing Shuffle Along. I am hoping King and I will be running at the time I am going. Those Grosses look awful

Actually this has the potential to be one of the best seasons in a long time I think.

I hope to see them all... not to mention a dozen or so plays I'm interested in.
Edit: just realized you said new shows so a few of these don't count but still... Doubt Hamilton will be the only good new musical.

Cool I really want to see Audra in a musical. Still wondering about Sutton Foster's rumored return !

I agree that this is going to be a great season (and would have been even without Hamilton). Because of this season I'm going to be going big for my April trip and will try and see 7 of these amazing shows. Last season had some great shows, but also had some duds. There are some amazing performers and awesome shows coming this season hopefully resulting in a successful season and not too many duds.

I'm banking on taking a number of trips to NY. So far I have tickets for Shuffle Along, She Loves Me, Color Purple, Misery, Spring Awakening, View from the Bridge, and Hamitlon (again and then yet again).
The rest of the musicals, if they're good, will hopefully play awhile so I'm sure I'll just catch them on work trips here and there over the year or next summer. There are so many good plays coming and I'm sure I'll miss some of those. They just seem more likely to have limited runs, especially when they have big stars.
