It took me until my second time seeing it to really like Nellie Mckay-I guess I was unprepared for her unusual-ness which transferred into her potrayal of Polly..but all in all, I DO think it worked.

Julia Roberts was a dissapointment - she seemed pretty nervous on that stage the entire first act.

Edit: Oh- I see above me now that she might have not been in it. Was she on Broadway? I'll go look.

Jenna Elfman was replaced during rehearsals. She was supposed to succeed Jane Krakowski when she left, but evidently she just wasn't cutting it.
