HAVE you seen brooklyn? if not, you're basing your opinion on what? reviews? because i didn't think i'd enjoy it until i saw it... heck, i even heard the cd and liked songs but thought it was going to be stupid, until it came together andw as so energetic and fun and inspiring. amazing cast who gives their all every night.

Why are you asking us to go? I mean, I have no interest, but you asked so nice...
to be quite frank in addition to the concept, the costumes, the "set" and the god awful reviews i'm also basing it on that god awful note at the end of once upon a time. but different strokes for different folks i guess

I've seen it and won't be recommending it to any of my friends.

I have the Cd, I woudlnt mind seeing it, but i'm not dieing to see it.
I would rather spend an entire day with BSoBW than see BROOKLYN again.
I might give it a shot when I go next week...Don't have a show lined up for Wed. afternoon. :-P
I just...I've heard only negative things, and as there are about fifteen shows I'd rather see...
Why are you asking us? Are you related to Tiny-Toon?
I'd rather have root canal without anesthesia that see that show again.

I wasn't a fan, nor would I recommend the show to anyone. I'm not a very critical person and I tend to enjoy most things I see, but I literally had to stop myself from laughing out loud at the juvenile nature of the lyrics (particularly during the "really serious emotional scenes.") On the other hand, the performers were amazing, even with what they were given to work with, so once I started ignoring the lyrics and just payed attention to the singing, I enjoyed myself enough to make it worth the half price tickets I bought at TKTS.

i am asking those who haven't seen Brooklyn to go see it for various reasons... When my parents got me tickets to Brooklyn, I bought the Cd.. although I really enjoyed the singing and some of the songs, it sounded kinda corny to me. then I sat in front row at the show and was just in awe of the talent up there... the show came together, and it really ended up not being corny.. the costumes are so creative, the performers are so talented and give their all on stage.. its pretty inspiring, and just a fun show that gets your feet tapping... the energy is crazy.. Eden and Cleavant really surprised me of how much better they sounded live... they are all such talented talented performers who deserve to be seen... I went on a Sat and it got a standing ovation and won the hearts of the audience... people were cracking up and loving every moment of it. DON't Base opinions on the critics.. they're not going to like it... it's freakin pop/r&b music... it's different than the typical broadway. and i'm not a teeny bopper either, caroline or change is my favorite show... this is far different and very enjoyable and worth the money. march is imperative, if the show does badly it will close. and if you havent seen it, then you are missing out on what can be a night you'll enjoy..... PLEASEEEEE see it dont let it close. give it a chance...... sit in last row if you dont wanna spend money... witness the magic that is Brookyln. fun, energetic, uplifting, cmon... you should see it just to see the performers... 5 people on stage giving their all. i'm almost positive that if they performerd on a show on TV or had an advertisement on tv, this show wouldnt be doing badly. it needs more promotion.. If they sang street singer on a show that many watch, people would flock to the show... Most people dont even know about it... GO SEE IT.
I sat in the front row also so I was unnecesarily subjected to Eden Espinosa's banshee like screaming. Does she know any other way to sing? She did the same thing last week in concert and I cover my ears because IT HURTS!
I think she should be hired by the government to make terrorists talk. 10 minutes in the Plymouth and we'll know where Bin Laden is.

Actually, hating the songs, I shall not.
I heard the CD. I would rather spend my money on another show. It's simply not my thing.
I heard this is an important week for BKLYN.
What does that mean? That if the numbers aren't up this week it is going to close?
Im gonna see BKLYN all this week :)
This is an important week because we want BKLYN's gross to go UP!

Eden doesn't screech... she sings amazingly. If you think she screeches you have to think Idina screeches too, and you're crazy. I've also noticed that shaky sopranos who can't belt are always the one saying she screeches...
Go see this show... it's better than the ghastly Mamma Mia and that's been on Bway for some time. i call that screeching...ew that girl on the commercial for itttt
i didn't know Matt_G was a shaky soprano...
